- 1.1 Things to take away from this survey*:
- 1.2 LGD 4033 vs Ostarine & Andarine

- 1.5 Conclusion
LGD-4033 is one of the most popular SARMs available today. SARMs Online conducted a survey with over 50% of respondent’s reporting that they’d taken LGD-4033 – it was the most popular SARM in our survey. In this article, you’ll discover what people did to get the very best results and how you can replicate this yourself.
Things to take away from this survey*:
- One of the most popular and consistent SARMs out there with 100% of users reporting an LGD-4033 cycle results in some improvement in strength.
- LGD 4033 dosage for first timers should be between 5-7mg and taken for at least 4 weeks up to a maximum of 8 weeks.
- The study found that LGD 4033 gains seem to drop off after 6mg while suppression becomes more significant.
- Adult males aged 36-45 were significantly more likely to be affected by suppression.
- Second most suppressive SARM featured in this survey.
*this survey contained 101 respondents of users from online SARM communities
LGD 4033 vs Ostarine & Andarine
Here I compare the benefits and side effects of LGD-4033 compared to the two most popular SARMs featured in the survey, Ostarine and Andarine.
From the graph above we can see that LGD 4033 results in significant gains in strength and was joint first for strength improvement in this SARMs survey.
When compared to Ostarine, LGD-4033 is marginally more suppressive and considerably more suppressive than Andarine. Unlike Andarine that was the only SARM to result in vision impairment, LGD 4033 had its own unique side effects which are listed just below in the open-ended comments section.
Is LGD-4033 better taken on its own or as a stack?
Here, I compare LGD-4033 when taken on its own compared to some of the most popular stacks out there. Stacking means to combine different substances to make use of a function that the sole substance wouldn’t usually permit, in this case we’re talking SARM and another SARM. To make it easier to read and compare, in the graph below I have combined the benefits and side effects. Blue and orange indicate the benefits and grey and yellow are the side effects.
The three stacks that featured heavily in this survey were:
- LGD-4033 & MK-0773 (LGD-4033 Stack 1)
- LGD-4033 & RAD140 (LGD-4033 Stack 2)
- LGD and Ostarine (LGD-433 Stack 3)
When taking LGD-4033 and Ostarine as a stack, they appear to result in the best improvement to strength and also increased the rate of fat loss significantly.
Would you do anything differently next time?
- Commonly users said they would run PCT next time
- Stricter diet/workout
- Get blood tests
- Use testosterone alongside to negate suppression
Did you experience any other benefits not listed?
Commonly mentioned benefits included:
- Definition significantly increased
- Libido increased for first three weeks of LGD 4033 cycle
Did you experience any other side effects from LGD-4033 not listed?
Commonly mentioned LGD-4033 side effects included:
- Increased sweating
- Acid reflux
- Increased appetite
Those who achieved the best results – what did they do?
When talking about the best results, I’m referring to improvement to strength. If you’re interested in increasing fat-loss read about Andarine or Ostarine. The research asked how people would rate the benefits they experienced out of 5, the users who reported 4+ have revealed some interesting data and could indicate how you can get the most out of this SARM!
- Those who reported the best strength improvement were between 16-35.
- Ran the cycle for 8 weeks.
- Took 5mg to begin with, and increased to 7mg for the last four weeks.
- Took as part of a stack with Ostarine.
Does dosage affect benefits gained? Benefits & Side Effects at Varying Dosages
How much does the dosage affect benefits and the side effects experienced by the user? The graph below explains what the respondents claimed.
What we can take away from this is that after 6mg, benefits begin to decline and side effects start to become more significant. Suppression affected those who took 8mg much more than those who took 5mg/6mg. There are limitations to this study which will be discussed at the end of this article.
Does Age Play a Role In The Effectiveness?
The survey split age groups into decade gaps. From 16-25 up to 45+ – with this SARM only respondents that were in the age brackets below yielded statistically significant results. Here we can see evidence that suggests age does, in fact, play a role in the benefits and side effects experienced.
When comparing those in the 16-35 age bracket and the 36-45 group, there’s a clear a difference between the benefits experienced. Though this could be explained by younger age groups having different training routines or the more likely reason is due to older people having fewer hormones in their body which is backed up by the findings below.
Older people were more likely to be affected by suppression than younger people which suggest that it’s not just down to the intensity of the training. Older people are less likely to bounce back and it should be concluded that if you’re above 36, you should implement PCT (Post Cycle Therapy). This is covered in the Supreme Guide to SARMs.
Some major limitations of this research include the perception of significance. For example, what may have been a “considerable” change to one person may have been a “significant” change to another.
Without a control group, it’s hard to compare what effects SARMs actually had.
Without contextual information, it’s hard to state what an “improvement” is. For example, those who said they improved in strength may have recently started working out or were gaining significant strength boost due to diet, working out or other stimulants.
The group isn’t statistically representative of certain demographics. Due to the limited sample size of 32, there was a wide variety of users in different age brackets and a lot of contextual questions still left unanswered, e.g. details of diet and intensity of workout routine.
It’s unclear the quality of the product that a respondent had taken.
Is LGD-4033 safe? Do the benefits outweigh the risks? According to our findings, it’s currently one of the most suppressive SARMs out there but that’s not to say it’s unsafe. With nearly half of users claiming they didn’t need PCT to recover its something you should consider if you’re looking to improve strength. However, if you’re over the age of 36 I’d perhaps go for something a little less potent such as Ostarine or Andarine unless you’re willing to implement PCT into your cycle.
